Grounded in principles of developmental theory, play therapy, and bibliotherapy, this LI provides a creative strategy for counseling adolescents. Attendees learn how to use heroic stories as guiding metaphors for understanding and counseling adolescents. Through powerful images, lecture, and experiential exercises, the presenters will demonstrate effective use of heroic mythology in working with in individuals and group therapy. Handouts detailing interventions and a thematic bibliography will be provided.
