This LI will teach attendees best practices and advanced methods in instrument development and validation in counseling practice and research. A salient feature of this LI will be its hands-on approach to teaching the various steps and phases in developing and validating culturally relevant and appropriate instruments. Advanced statistical analyses will include factor analysis, item response theory, Rasch modeling, and parallel reductive techniques. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop computer.
