The internet has created an era of citizen journalism and the fire service is not exempt from making headlines for the wrong reasons. Like preparing for emergencies, departments need to train to prevent and manage unexpected reputation threats. This program will offer participants strategies to safeguard the firehouse from damaging behaviors while protecting the integrity of the fire service. Topics covered include social media, theft, discrimination, and poor member behavior.
