These are challenging times for leaders. All levels of fire leadership are serving an array of customers in more capacities than ever before. When we are so busy with strategies and tactics, it is often hard to find time to explore improving your personal leadership style. This presentation challenges participants to raise their game. This presentation will discuss three specific ways to think and interact with others for a more satisfying, successful leadership role. Attendees will understand their own style and attitudes as a leader; learn the skill of professional coaching; use coaching as a communication tool to interact with employees; understand “dreaming vs. eating” and how thinking bigger and working on “moon shots” should accompany daily tasks; and using the art of influence to turn ideas into reality.
