Advanced ICS for Command & General Staff: Complex Incidents (Room 3C)

Also known as ICS-400, this course is intended for current and rising command and general staff personnel (officers) to provide them with the knowledge necessary to establish and maintain effective management and coordination of complex and/or multi-faceted incidents. This course conforms to the National Incident Management System (NIMS) training criteria for senior and command officers. At the conclusion of the program, students will be able to: (a) identify the incident management process of command and general staff functions during complex incidents as prescribed by the Incident Command System; (b) describe the implementation of the incident management process on a complex incident; and (c) describe the management and coordination process during multiple concurrent incidents. Prerequisites include ICS 100 and ICS 200 or Basic ICS IS195/V200, and ICS 300 or Intermediate ICS (G195). This is a certification course.
