ArcGIS Online is a cloud based mapping platform used by an increasing number of agencies in Virginia and across the nation. Designed for data sharing and collaboration, ArcGIS Online platform can help organizations begin basic mapping functions which can assist in the development of basic map products and analysis tools. These basic map products and tools can easily be used for accreditation purposes, planning, prevention and overall operational response. This session will provide an overview of the ArcGIS Online and other resources that can be used regularly and are readily available. This presentation is intended primarily for non-GIS professionals to provide an orientation to the platform and show a variety of ways it can be used within your emergency response agency.
