Association Day 2016

Workplace Violence: Points of Physical & Legal Vulnerability (Room M-8)

21 Mar 16
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Today, we associate workplace violence with "active shooter", yet OSHA defines workplace violence as any harm suffered inside or outside a place of business if staff or volunteers are acting on behalf/assignment of their company or organization. So what are some of the major points of vulnerability that can not only bring your people physical harm, but your organization fiscal harm if a claim of "negligence" arises following the incident?

This program will address those points of vulnerability as well as "best practices" to mitigate such risks and reduce such liabilities. It will also address the suggested documentation that should precede, accompany, and follow-up any and all training initiatives should plaintiff attorneys ask.

Remember, what happens at the ER affects HR, and what happens at the PD affects PR. Learn how to stay ahead of the story, especially if and when that story is a tragedy.
