This seminar is for those business operators that have at least a foundational knowledge of online visibility, may have a good web site (or know they need one), and want to learn more about the latest changes and trends that can affect how those that are searching for you online will arrive at your doorstep.

Nothing stands still when it comes to online marketing success.  Changes in how search engines rank web sites, how results are returned and other factors can affect where you are found, how results are displayed and for those that participate in paid online marketing, the success or failure of your campaign. There is much to cover so we will quickly move from topic to topic with the goal of equipping you with the key “ingredients” you need to have a successful online presence.

Some of the topics we will cover include:

  • Building your web presence on a good foundation:  Key must have characteristics of a successful website.
  • Search terminology:  A quick review of lingo used by search engines, online marketers and others.    
  • Search engine updates:  Names for updates in search engine algorithms often sound like a rollcall at a zoo with Panda, Penguin, Hummingbird, Pigeon and more.  We will share what Google’s changes are trying to achieve.
  • Surprise! Your web site is not the only place to learn about your business online.  Sometimes other sources provide your business information online.  That information is often easier to be found than your website… and it may be wrong!
