“Modern” clip and “German” clip while not very popular trims at dog shows, are preferred by poodle owners. In these trims all of the body’s hair is shortened except at the legs and head which are left longer. As the dog’s appearance must be as natural as possible, all the work has to be done by scissoring. Umberto will demonstrate how to emphasize the neck and find the right proportions of the back to make the body look shorter and balanced.
