The Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC), is a national guidance document developed by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC ) to prevent drowning, injuries, and the spread of recreational water illnesses at public swimming pools and spas.  The (MAHC ) integrates the latest knowledge based on science and best practices with specific code language and explanatory materials covering the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of swimming pools, spas, hot tubs, and other public disinfected aquatic facilities. Join Douglas Sackett with the Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code. He will provide an introduction to the U.S. MAHC along with a brief tutorial on its international implications. Ask lots of question, take plenty of notes!
