Experience the ultimate field trip for zoo and aquarium professionals. Hear from a deep-sea explorer who is currently combining research and education to increase ocean literacy and our understanding of the ocean ecosystem. Explore the Kennedy Space Center and experience new heights of innovation, collaboration, and networking. Hear real tales from outer space from a NASA astronaut as you dine. Visit the amazing Apollo/Saturn V Center, and in transit back to the Visitor Complex listen to informed commentary on the property’s abundance of wildlife. End the day with a networking reception.   Zoo & Aquarium Day The day concludes wraps up with a relaxing fun networking reception which includes animals rescued by the Florida Wildlife & Hospital Sanctuary. Snacks and beverages will be provided, and we will be visited by a host of critters rescued by the Florida Wildlife & Hospital Sanctuary. This organization rescues nearly 5,000 animals a year and will be bringing animals that are not releasable for some medical reason. It will be a great end to an eventful day.

8:45 a.m. Guests Arrive, Enter through Brief Security Check, Scan Admission Tickets

9 a.m. Breakfast Keynote Speaker in Debus Conference Facility

10 a.m. Program Concludes, Guests Depart for Space Shuttle Atlantis

10:15 a.m. Enter Pre-Show, Tour Atlantis Shuttle Launch Experience

12 p.m. Lunch with an astronaut in Debus Conference Facility

1 p.m. Lunch Concludes

1:15 p.m. Bus Tour

1:45 p.m. Tour of the Apollo/Saturn V Center (ASVC)

2:45 p.m. Guests Depart ASVC for Reception at LC-39

3 p.m. Reception at LC-39

4 p.m. Reception Concludes. Guests Depart for Main Campus

4:15 p.m. Arrive at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex for Departure


FOOD AND BEVERAGE:
Daytime meals and refreshments.

TRANSPORTATION: Buses depart the OCCC South Concourse at 7:30 a.m. Buses depart the Kennedy Space Center at 4 p.m. Participants may not drive separately.

NOTE(S): Must be 18 or older to attend. Separate ticket and Expo badge required to participate.

COST: US$125IAAPA members. Tickets must be purchased in advance as space is limited and may sell out. Expo registration is also required.
