Join more than a dozen experts in family entertainment center (FEC) management as they share insights and experiences in how to develop, plan, and run an FEC. This is a soup-to-nuts program for those want to enter this industry as an FEC operator, or for those who may want to expand their network and brush up on the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to grow their business. Discover the FEC experience fundamentals from how to research your market to how to conduct day-to-day operations. It also includes a welcome reception at Dave & Buster’s, the EDUTour to Fun Spot America, and reserved seating at Monday's Lunch and Learn.

Topics covered in the program include: Developing Your Company Culture; Facility Design and Trends; Feasibility Plans; Business Planning; Game Room Layout; Financial Management; Risk Management; Hiring, Managing, and Motivating Staff; Sales and Marketing; Social Media; Web Design; Food and Beverage Operations; and Attractions Mix.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE: Daytime meals and refreshments. Dinner at Fun Spot America on Sunday.

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation is not provided to the Welcome Reception. Transportation is provided for the EDUTour to Fun Spot America. For that event, buses depart the OCCC South Concourse at 6 p.m. Buses depart Fun Spot America to return to the OCCC at 9:30 p.m. Participants may drive to Fun Spot America.


NOTES: Must be 18 or older to attend. Separate ticket and Expo badge required for entry.

COST:
US$450 IAAPA members; US$600 nonmembers. Tickets should be purchased in advance as space is limited and may sell out. Course fee includes: IAAPA Attractions Expo registration for one, course tuition and support materials, daytime meals and refreshments, Saturday social event at Dave & Buster’s, EDUTour and dinner at Fun Spot America, reserved seating at Monday’s Lunch and Learn Event at the Expo Kickoff Event, FEC Reception at Hyatt Regency Hotel, and a certificate of completion.
