Tracks: Technology, Process & Innovation

In recent years, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have moved from strictly military platforms to many areas, including; agriculture, law enforcement, utilities, and construction. Although the FAA is still working to finalize rules that balance safety with commercial and recreational interests, companies across the US and around the globe have been pouring funds into this exploding sector. This program will show the applicability of UAVs to tasks related to electric utility line work, including surveying, preventative inspection, and damage assessment.
