TW-5: Maximizing the Plug Load Control: A guide to help you understand the next frontier in energy codes (Room Technical Workshop Room 1)

08 Oct 16
2:30 PM - 3:20 PM

Tracks: Standards & Safety

This session will help the electrical contractor (EC) understand key changes in energy codes and standards that are making plug load control a requirement in commercial installations and it will show how the EC can take this potential challenge and turn it into a growth opportunity. Attendees will leave this session understanding what plug load control is, what is driving it, and how it is being enforced. In addition, they will gain insight on how to take plug load control from a cumbersome code requirement to an opportunistic business growth opportunity and develop strategies to mitigate risk and add value to a plug load control installation.
