This session will familiarise the participants to the specific skin challenges neonates are confronted to. Many wounds observed within this population are preventable thanks to a basic knowledge of the neonate's skin characteristics. The Geriatric skin does not have the same defenses as skin of someone much younger. The elderly population, especially in the Long Term Care setting, are dealing with cormobidities that no longer allow them to be independent making their risk increase and their healing capability to be compromised. These issues will be discussed.
