"I was born with a high imperforate anus, which as many of you probably know, means that I was born with the opening and without a sphincter muscle. This was diagnosed immediately at birth and has posed some unique challenges."
Over the past 25 years Derick has focused on his passion of entertaining, starring in a number of independent films. He’s also a veteran of live theatre, where he has portrayed over a dozen characters.
A self- proclaimed child at heart, Derick is curious about everyone and everything, and it’s this very quality that engages viewers daily. Derick thrives on conveying what’s happening to viewers in a fun and informative manner. Derick recently accepted the role as co-host of Breakfast Television Montreal on City TV. He’s extremely excited about his new role and is looking forward to sharing his enthusiasm and energy with Montreal viewers.
