The purpose of this lecture is to help the professional understand th etiology and epidemiology of diabetes. The professional will understand the complications associated with diabetes and what their role as a provider will be to prevent complications. As such the professionals will learn what tests and exams will need to be done to prevent complications including amputations and death.
