The NPUAP recently revised the staging system for pressure ulcers. The revisions were the result of a yearlong literature review, input from stakeholders, and a consensus conference to come to consensus on the new definitions. This session will discuss the new definitions, the state of the science for each stage, and the primary issues that were central to consensus for each definition.
