(C314) Families Welcome: Pediatric Bowel and Bladder Voiding Dysfunctions (Room 516)

06 Jun 16
3:50 PM - 4:50 PM

Tracks: Continence

There is probably nothing more common or more frustrating to patients and families in the world of pediatric urology than problems with bladder and bowel dysfunction.  More than 50% of office visits to a pediatric urologist are due to these problems. UTIs account for more than 1,000,000 office visits and greater than 50,000 ER visits per year. Unfortunately there is often a gap in understanding the best practices for effectively treating these problems.

This session will discuss various examples of bladder and bowel dysfunctions seen in pediatric urology including the diagnosis, evaluation and possible treatment modalities. Case studies will be presented.
