A clear occupational hazard, and some would say a necessary evil, of practicing medicine or nursing in the twenty first century is interaction with the legal system. No greater, more stressful, and potentially more dangerous interaction can occur than in situations where the practitioner finds herself on the witness stand. In this session a seasoned trial lawyer with over two decades of real courtroom experience defending health care providers in the rough and tumble world of American civil jurisprudence will give practical tips on how to approach the necessity of testifying in a judicial proceeding with confidence, and how to be the type of witness that wins cases for herself and/or her colleagues.
