This presentation will describe an overview of the process used to develop and continue ostomy clinics at the Henry Ford Health System (HFHS). Description of outpatient ostomy clinic billing, including differentiation for the APRN WOC Nurse and non APRN WOC Nurse will be presented. Criteria for ostomy documentation to meet billing requirements and the recent conversion of the ostomy clinic to the Epic EMR in 2014 will be described. Advantages and opportunities of out-patient ostomy clinics will be presented.
