Tracks: Collision Business Management/Leadership 2016, Mechanical Business Management/Leadership 2016

Attracting and training tomorrow's workforce is more important today than ever, and more challenging than it has ever been. Your main pool of entry-level candidates today are from Generation Y, also known as Millennials... the largest generation on the planet. Traditional methods of hiring, training and retaining employees will likely lead to failure and could set things in motion that will make it difficult to overcome without people in the back to actually do the work. Shop owners/managers need to fully understand and embrace what motivates Millennials, what their values are, how to guide them through learning what they need to know and do through workforce apprenticeship initiatives, and what it will take to make them want to stay. Your future depends on having people to do the work and this workshop will provide you with a glimpse of what that will mean in the months and years ahead.

This course is a part of the AMi Graduate Program Series. This series of management sessions is for AMi students, particularly those requiring only self-study courses for graduation. You’ll learn from the most cutting-edge management trainers in the industry!
