2015 INSS: Intelligence & National Security Summit

Technologies Changing Intelligence Collection, Processing, Analysis, and Dissemination (Room Salon G/H)

Several emerging technologies, and the companies bringing them to fruition, will be highlighted. The focus is on “game changing” technologies that potentially will change the future landscape of intelligence collection, processing, analysis, exploitation, and targeting.  Some companies have created very unique and useful intelligence processes using “cloud architectures” and social media as sources; some of these applications lead us to almost “real-time” intelligence gathering and exploitation and help enable the end-user “connect the dots” more accurately than ever.  This session will demonstrate and discuss a sampling of these technologies and their applications to real world challenges, focusing on their prospective use in intelligence, defense, and security challenges of the future.

Focus Questions:

What is the status of unique and interesting applications to gather and interpret social media for Intelligence indications, tipoff, etc.?

How might Intelligence data integration and management be accomplished differently in future platforms?

How do these emerging capabilities change the future landscape for intelligence targeting, gathering, and exploitation for the intelligence, defense and security community?
