The primary goal of an identity-based system is to verify (or determine) an individual's identity based on prior information so that subsequent actions can be determined. No matching process, whether biometric or biographical, is going to be 100% accurate however. This session reviews various approaches used by operational systems to be as accurate as possible, while minimizing the impact of mistakes.
