Thanks to Newton’s law of gravity, objects falling to the ground are inevitable, but that doesn’t mean you should spend your day at the worksite waiting for tools to hit you in the head. However, understanding and choosing the safety solution that will best prevent dropped objects can be confusing. ISEA’s Dropped Objects Solutions experts will focus on preventative solutions actively used by workers to mitigate dropped hazards, an important component to any safety program. The experts will also provide an overview of a new industry initiative in development by the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) and it’s Dropped Objects Solutions Working Group members, seeking to standardize solutions available to protect workers from objects falling from heights by establishing minimum design, performance and labeling requirements for solutions actively used by employees in elevated work areas.
