In safety, great is not good enough anymore. Many “great” organizations are hitting the safety wall – meaning safety performance has plateaued or even gotten worse. Great companies such as BP, BHP Billiton, Transocean and NASA experienced catastrophic events at the height of their greatness. Something is wrong. The causes lurk not in the safety culture, but in the “risk culture” – the way we try to manage and mitigate risk instead of harnessing it. This seminar will explore approaches, techniques and systems to break through barriers and into a new view of safety management. It also will introduce a unique and advanced way to measure and assess safety.
