This session will help you determine which portions of specific standards are needed to implement an effective electrical safety program. We’ll discuss OSHA 1910.269, Subpart S, and 1926 Subparts K and V; NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code – NEC), 70E, 70B, 79 and 30; and IEEE standards including C2 (National Electric Safety Code – NESC). Enforcement of these standards has increased, and industry must reasonably follow them as a guide to write programs, perform training, provide adequate PPE, and reduce risks associated with injuries or unwanted civil litigation.
