Shark diving, mountain climbing, African wilderness hiking and canoeing, bungee jumping … the presenter of this session does dangerous things for recreation. He has been charged by elephants, crocodiles and hippos; interacted with lions on foot and with wild sharks without a cage; rappelled into crevasses; and more. He emerged (mostly) intact, and will share stories about how such things can be done safely and what happens when, despite the best preparation, things go wrong. Using photos and video from the events, he’ll candidly discuss how and why trouble arose, what saved such situations from turning deadly – and how it all relates to electrical and industrial safety.
