Put Your Safety On (Room 237)

At the age of 14, Mike was shot in the chest at point-blank range – leaving him paralyzed over two-thirds of his body. In this session, this Paralympian shows his medals – as well as the actual bullet he was shot with – as he shares with his audience that “this didn’t need to happen.” Mike communicates a powerful message that this didn’t happen only to him – it affected his family, his friends, his community, and even his future wife and children. Mike and his family continue to face challenges because of the split-second decision made in regard to safety – or the lack thereof. This session will change the way you think about carelessness and the magnitude of your decisions.
