Implementation of the Emergency Responder Health Monitoring and Surveillance (ERHMS) Framework (Room 237)

27 Sep 17
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Tracks: Operational/Technical/Regulatory

This session will describe the three phases of the Emergency Responder Health Monitoring and Surveillance (ERHMS) framework and how it can be implemented within an organization or Incident Command System during an emergency. We’ll discuss the pre-deployment, deployment and post-deployment phases of ERHMS, along with specific tools and the ERHMS Info Manager software program. Case studies will demonstrate how ERHMS has been used successfully in real time, including during Deepwater Horizon, the 2014 Ebola outbreak and Hurricane Matthew. You’ll learn how to track emergency responders and identify if they need long-term health monitoring after responding to an incident.
