Learning Lab: Benchmarking Physician Productivity in an ENT Practice

This hand-on session will allow attendees to create a completely customized practice benchmarking program. At the conclusion of the session, you will have a fully operational benchmarking tool to take home and use in your practice to compare each of your individual physician’s productivity to your practice average to the national average. To create your own practice benchmarking program, you will need to bring your laptop and one month’s worth of data for each physician in your practice:
1. Total monthly charges, gross receipts (money collected before refunds are issued), refunds, net receipts (gross receipts less refunds issued) and adjustments
2. Hearing aid charges, gross receipts (money collected before refunds are issued), refunds and net receipts (gross receipts less refunds issued)
3. Charges, net receipts (collections less refunds issued) and the number of units for each CPT billed out in the given month
