She will provide practical advice and resources for successfully handling a breach from start to finish, including: a checklist of the recommended steps to take in any breach; a sample notification letter; tips for reporting a breach to insurers; thoughts on hiring consultants for forensic analysis; information on providing credit monitoring services for affected individuals; guidance for notifying the media if required; and tips for reporting a breach to state agencies and the Office for Civil Rights (HIPAA).
