COST BENEFIT STUDIES FOR GHG MITIGATION & ADAPTATION TECHNOLOGIES (Room C141)

03 May 16
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Tracks: Panel Session

GHG mitigation and adaptation technologies include energy-efficiency programs, demand-side energy management (building/home) programs, energy storage and the integration of renewable generation resources (solar/wind). It is important for the power grid operators and planners to understand the costs and benefits for adapting those technologies. The goal of this panel is to bring together experts conducting cost benefit studies at utilities, consulting companies and research institutes to present methods and results, as well as tools developed for conducting such studies. Special focuses include: methods for quantifying the benefit and impact; tools developed for conducting cost benefit studies and; results of cost benefit studies on major smart grid technologies.
