Sustainable Manufacturing Forum: Government Regulatory Compliance for Complex High Tech Products and Elaborate Global Supply Chains (Room San Francisco Marriott Marquis)

12 Jul 16
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Tracks: Sustainable Manufacturing Forum

In recent years, mandatory government regulations have required companies to better understand the environmental and social footprint of their products. Companies in the high tech space often manufacture extremely complex products designed with and composed of thousands of sub-assemblies and millions of discrete parts. Complying with these regulatory requirements for such complex products is challenging. Compliance challenges are made worst because the sub-assemblies are often sourced from thousands of companies around the world. To assist SEMI members and industry partners with this daunting process, SEMI is organizing the two-day Sustainable Manufacturing Forum to share information about the issue and possible solutions.

During the Forum, government agencies and third party consultants from around the world will share their perspectives on these product and supply chains requirements. Experts from industry will share their perspectives on compliance challenges and pragmatic lessons to make the compliance process more effective, efficient, and ultimately sustainable.
