Tracks: Sales/Marketing/Customer Service

An increasing number of late model vehicles are coming equipped with telematics technology that permits data on the condition and operation of the vehicle to be sent wirelessly to vehicle service facilities. While the use of telematics will provide for increased opportunities for vehicle relationship management for the service industry, there are also many challenges that remain including: will independent auto care facilities have the ability as franchised dealers to access data transmitted by vehicles and can business models be developed that will make access cost effective. Learn more about what telematics means to the independent repair shop and to those that supply those shops at this seminar; and how the industry may overcome the challenges that the new technology presents.

Attendees will learn:

  • The challenges the aftermarket faces with “direct to vehicle owner” OE communications.
  • What the aftermarket industry needs to do to compete with OE telematics systems.
  • Who is leading and representing the aftermarket industry in this arena.
