This exciting new program is about more than just certification. It is about telling the world that the safety of the pets in your care is your primary concern! Are you looking to take your grooming game to the next level by becoming a more efficient and effective groomer? The skills you learn while becoming certified and the power it gives you will solve many of your grooming and business problems, making you the Obvious Expert. Enjoy having your customers ask for your recommendations instead of dictating the trim. Get started this weekend on your path to certification as we go over safety and handling, efficient grooming techniques and skills to make your problem dogs less problematic. There will be a discussion of equipment selection to make your job easier and gentler. Learn about the groomer’s role in recognizing health problems in the pets in our care. Update your skills for fast, fabulous and profitable grooming and improve your customer relations using the power of education and certification through examination by independent evaluators. There will also be a demonstration of an efficient and attractive kennel trim, using the safe handling skills and techniques to deal with easy or difficult dogs. The skills you will learn are yours to keep and you will have a head start on certification. We will cover: Safe Handling; Sanitation; Salon safety; Groomer health & injury prevention; First aid & emergency protocols; recognizing and responsibilities for dog health issues; and raising the bar of our profession. You will receive an IPG Safety Education endorsement for attending the class. For groomers who wish to become certified, the Certification package will be available to class attendees at a discount. *Bonus: Bring a few photos of a kennel trim you have done or email to linda@ipgicmg.com prior to class, for a short evaluation of the trim. Include your name in the photo, but don’t have a person in the photo.
