Salmonid fish passage at hydroelectric facilities in the Pacific Northwest has long been an area of research and innovation to provide safe fish passage but still ensure power production. This session will look at the use of physical and computer models for design purposes, acoustic tag studies used to evaluate bypass structures, and some of the bypass structures themselves.
