After this session, participants will be able to: 1) explain how circulating DNA in maternal plasma can be used to detect fetal disorders; 2) explain how circulating nucleic acids can be used to detect cancer; and 3) evaluate the diagnostic effectiveness of new laboratory procedures based on circulating nucleic acids.
