After this session, participants will be able to: 1) summarize the on-going oversight, preparedness activities, and activation of the Serious Communicable Diseases Unit at Emory University Hospital; 2) describe the spectrum of medical care services provided for the care of patients with serious communicable diseases; and 3) discuss the Point-of-Care laboratory test menu, instrumentation, staffing, training, and regulatory compliance required to provide support services in the Unit.
