Hotel Industry Workshop: Sensitivity Matters: Transforming Clinical Decision - Making Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) with High-Sensitivity Cardiac Troponin (Room International Hall 6-9, Atlanta Marriott Marquis)

In preperation for high sensitivity cardiac troponin (hs-cTn) assays as the standard of care, this workshop will review key attributes that every laboratory professional and clinician should know. This includes the definition of an hs-cTn assar, understanding how hs-cTn methods differ from their contemporary counterparts, highlighting clinical new findings related to their routine use in acute cardiac care, as well as outlining the importance and relevance of sex-specific 99th percentiles. The program includes clinical cases studies that highlight the practical application of hs-Ctn measurements in patients who present with possible acute cardian disorders.
