Recently the issues of the steelmaking industry are high-grade steel production, cost competitiveness and minimizing quality variations. Because these areas are closely related to refractory technologies, the refractory suppliers have also made the effort to improve process and material development. As part of this effort, for the first time in the world, a fully automated and unmanned plant was completed for continuous casting sliding nozzle plate in 2014. High-quality products are being produced, eliminating human error, doubling productivity and reducing manufacturing cost by half.
