Tracks: Cost of Equipment Reliability, Project Planning & Execution

The shortage of skilled trades workers has been described as an acute worsening crisis, an epic “industrial tsunami,” according to the Center for America. A large percentage of current workers are at or near retirement age. Skilled trades are the hardest jobs to fill. Operator-Driven Reliability Programs are proving to be useful vehicles to help the impending influx of skilled trades replacements be efficient and effective partners with operators. Elements include failure mode and defect elimination, equipment inspections, planning and scheduling improvement, visual controls and frontline reliability tools. New skilled trades workers are enabled to quickly become value-added partners with operations.
