Preventive Maintenance Foundations (Room 316)

16 May 16
9:30 AM - 10:00 AM

Tracks: Cost of Equipment Reliability, Project Planning & Execution

Properly planned and scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks are the main practices for mitigating high levels of risk in your most critical assets. Conversely, poorly conceived and executed PM tasks can be a resource drain and can do more harm than good. Since appropriate PM practices are such an important part of protecting your company’s value stream, it is vital that you understand how to properly build and maintain your company’s PM program. During this presentation, participants will: understand the four main types of PM, learn how to determine whether PM is appropriate, learn how to determine the optimal PM interval, and understand when PM could be used. All participants will take valuable material and best practices back to their facilities to share with others.
