Endpoint Prediction Technology of BOF Based on Flame Information (Room 318)

Flame information is connected directly with the carbon content and temperature in the converter. Endpoint prediction technology of BOF, which is based on photo-electricity technology, machine vision and metallurgic theory, gathers the light intensity and flame images on-line and predicts the carbon content and temperature of the converter. The experiments indicated that, when the carbon content is less than 0.15%, and the control requirement is ±0.02%, the hit rate is more than 90%; when the temperature control requirement is ±15°C, the hit rate is more than 90%. The technology is good for improving steel quality and quantity.
