Slides VERBATIM Next slide First of all It is a great honor and pleasure for our company and I to be on that stage to be among you; MTSI stands for Mining Topographic Survey & Imaging and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Delta Drone group Our presentation will primarily focus on the benefits (and not specifically on the technological aspects) of new technologies and why it will be a breakthrough in your daily operations as it already has been in the past Next slide Let’s thus try to think forward but prior to that, let’s look back for a minute The past century was already for topographs marked by new technologies that provided a higher level of accuracy, way more reactivity and last but not least in a less costly way The UAV come as a new way of acquisition and is by itself an integrated solution as it can embed a variety of payloads It does provide you with new capabilities in your business and great new perspectives I will walk you through and show you how and why. Next slide You know more than I do how new technologies in the past did change your life and how they brought to your Customers what they were looking for and in some cases what they would have never dreamt of Next slide Remember where we all come from Survey chain / Theodolite / Laser rangefinder / Total station / GNSS And Photogrammetry What that diagram shows is that we did begin with basic distance measures to end up 400 years later with the first 3D deliverables (based on GNSS / photogrammetry) And show will go on The LIDAR embedded on a drone is and will be an integrated solution that will take you in the 4D world and I will show you why Next slide The following slides all come from the same site, which is a dolomie quarry at Sainte-Colombe-sur-Guette in France Beginning of the 19th century, here is what our elders were capable of mapping. As you see this is basic drawing with a low level of details and no accuracy Next slide This is the same quarry surveyed with a Theodolite half a century later As you see, we are now in two 2D and sort of start seeing contour lines and some details Next slide Still the same quarry, this is a zoom on one part of the quarry inspected with a Total Station or DGPS. We clearly see the benches, get a decent level of details but some parts are still unusable as we see on the left. The level of details and accuracy is not satisfying enough. We just entered in the 3D and just quit the 2D. The DTM was born and allows topographs to see things and make recommendations Next slide Still the same site. 3D HD photogrammetry allowed us to generate that picture. As you will notice, we do clearly see all the benches, the sliding on the left is clearly shown and we can understand how the sliding occurred Last but not least, we see benches that are about to bend and can cause a sliding Next slide This is how we can visualize how the sliding occurred And guess what, this picture was produced with a LIDAR. Next slide What is a UAV a fully integrated solution? Next slide Because: A drone has already the GPS (and in some cases the DGPS) on board and a camera (for the photogrammetry) It can embed a variety of payloads and among them there is the LIDAR To be quite frank with you, as of today, the LIDAR that can embed on drone while complying with the EU regulation are not good enough. In the coming years we will able to embed payloads to do some geophysics Next slide Let’s take a concrete example Next slide It is self explanatory! Next slide Same here! Therefore the LIDAR will bring you the 4D LIDAR technology will provide you with a much higher level of accuracy compared to the photogrammetry (1 million points per second) And last but not least will allow you to perform precision surveys throughout the year Whenever you decide to do it 3D + time = 4D Next slide For topographs, The UAV technology is definitely a great new way of acquisition BUT It is a revolution, because It will allow you on a daily basis to SECURE MONITOR CONTROL OPTIMIZE MAKE RECOS Whenever you decide to so do. We are now entering the 4D world Next slide Let’s finish with a couple of concrete examples that we can deliver TODAY Stockpile = complex example Operating plan = (do not show anything), We are capable of delivering pretty much any type of your customized mining formats such as Vulcan, Surpac. Any type of Customized formats, Feel free to challenge us! Geotechnical: Understand, visualize the « breaks » Immersive view: we can also deliver you neat 3D HD views
