Thermal Sensors for Mapping and Modeling with UAVs (Room 261-262)

Introduction will be on thermal imagery and its developing applications through mapping and modeling. The session will give real-application examples to demonstrate industry use: Solar field inspection, mine tailing impact assessment, and energy audit of buildings. The advancement of thermal imagery usage has also been aided through collaborations with industry leaders: Pix4D and FLIR provided a joint effort for thermal camera and photogrammetry software integration. Through internal development, Pix4D has also worked towards the use of camera and UAVs for photogrammetric purposes. These topics of collaboration and development will be discussed along with the user-cases for a holistic view of thermal imagery and mapping/modeling applications.
