Cancer is not a death sentence is dogs and cats. Chemotherapy is well tolerated in the majority of pets undergoing treatment. With treatment, many pets are not only living longer, but living well. Many clients have questions about grooming, boarding and pet day care for their pets with cancer or pets undergoing chemotherapy. In this lecture we will discuss issues including: • Vaccines and the cancer patient • How immunocompromised are cancer and chemo patients anyway? • When is the safest time to groom chemotherapy patients during their treatment?
