Many of today’s concrete grain elevators are not only aging, but they’re old. They’re cracking, spalling and gradually falling apart -- and some are falling down. This session will discuss the scope of the situation nationally, and then explore possible remedies. What structural problems do you look for in a concrete grain elevator, and where do you look? What can be done? Topics include interior liners, exterior banding, surface treatments, spall repair, crack patching, protecting rebar and the need for preventive maintenance programs. This ed session is CEU-approved for attendees who have earned a credential through the GEAPS/Kansas State University Credentialing Program.

(CEU) This session earns continuing education credit for attendees who have already earned a credential through the GEAPS/Kansas State University Credential Progaram.
