This session will begin with an overview of one of the principal risks to grain: mycotoxins. The risk to grain elevators is largely determined by crop, climate and weather conditions during the grain-fill period. The second part of this session will evaluate the viability of using sealed grain bins to achieve effective fumigations and maintain grain quality, especially considering the need for grain producers and handlers to continue to use phosphine as a viable fumigant.
