Cities are going to play a very prominent role in the transformation to a renewable society. They are in a unique position to integrate the energy supply for electricity, heat, chill and transportation. This extended session will reveal the challenges and solutions with the audience hearing about some of Europe’s most successful Smart City Initiatives covering projects already in place plus future plans that relate to power generation and self-sufficiency via the latest in distributed generation, district heating, energy storage and heat pumps amongst other technologies.
